The 3DS and Wii U digital stores are closing today. After announcing its closure last year, Nintendo has been gradually shutting down some online store functions, and today it will mothball the eShops of two very different consoles (one was a commercial failure, and the other the Nintendo’s biggest hits).
When closing time arrives, you won’t be able to purchase anything from either store, but you will be able to re-download games you’ve already purchased. In Spain it will be possible to exchange funds from the wallet to buy Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games until 2 a.m. (2 a.m.) on March 28so don’t miss the last opportunity to get your hands on a game that will disappear forever.
Going to make a last minute purchase in the Wii U or 3DS eShop?
