Orlando Florida. – Orlando International Airport (MCO) passengers transiting through Terminal C will be able to use a bridge that connects them directly to facilities in the rest of MCO and saves time by 2025.
Darren Soto, Florida Congressman for District 9, said the investment of $20,000,000 in federal funds will complete the Terminal C project.
Soto said in an interview with Telemundo 31 that the bridge project will take two to three years, depending on project estimates.
For her part, Mayra Uribe, Orange County Commissioner for District 3, said that with the bridge, people “will no longer have to go downstairs, walk outside and climb stairs to get to the other side. of the airport”.
The pedestrian zone construction announcement comes shortly after Brightline began direct runs between Miami and Orlando.
“With the bridge, they will have direct access to plane, train and car rental area,” Uribe explained after the announcement at a press conference.
Additionally, it was announced that the MCO would receive $49,000,000 to construct four departure gates at Terminal C.
