Neymar was injured in the Ligue 1 game against Lille on February 20. And now it has been confirmed that he will have to undergo surgery for this injury.
PSG detailed it in a press release: “Neymar Jr has had several episodes of right ankle instability in recent years. After his last sprain on February 20, the Paris Saint-Germain medical team recommended a ligament repair operation, to avoid an increased risk of recurrence. All the experts consulted confirmed this need.”
“This operation will be performed in the coming days at the ASPETAR hospital in Doha. A drop of 3 to 4 months is to be expected before his return to collective training”, adds the club.
