MIAMI.- A woman has died after being hit by a getaway driver on a street in southwest Miami on Thursday morning.
Miami police said they are investigating the case as a homicide and said the incident happened around 5:45 a.m. between 27th Avenue and 22nd Terrace in southwest Miami.
Officers came to the scene in reference to an adult woman who had been hit by a driver who had left the scene. The woman was pronounced dead at the site, police said.
So far there is no information on the suspect or the vehicle, but an investigation is ongoing and police say they are reviewing video from surveillance cameras in the area.
