The City Hunter anime enters its final phase with this feature film which also left us with a first official trailer
I’m still wrong, in fact, it’s very likely that I’m wrong, but I feel that, as successful and relevant as it has been”city hunter“In Japan, in Spain, said popularity has not become popular at all. Despite this, obviously, there are those who have been following the story of Ryo Saeba for a long time, and that is why”City Hunter The Movie: Angel Dust” may become one of the big animated movie premieres 2023 has in store for us..
City Hunter The Movie: Angel Dust is coming this same 2023
Having said all that, to begin with I leave you with the first official trailer from “City Hunter The Movie: Angel Dust”, a film that is going to be very relevant for the franchise:
And now keep in mind the following little things in case you’re interested in the movie in question (via ANN):
- City Hunter The Movie: Angel Dust is featured officially in fall 2023 in Japan. No, at the moment it doesn’t have a specific date for its debut, or when it will arrive in the West (and, based on what I originally mentioned about popularity, I honestly don’t know if it will in Spain).
- On the other hand, it is really important to say that the film is accompanied by the message ‘The final chapter begins‘. It must be remembered that with 4 anime seasons, the adaptation of City Hunter covered until the manga chapter 168, of which 191 were created, which means that, eventually, the end of City Hunter will be adapted in anime to through movies.
- More specifically at the parcel level, City Hunter The Movie: Angel Dust will mainly deal with the past of Ryo Saeba and the death of his former partner Hideyuki Makimura.
It is not necessary to anticipate events, but personally It seems pretty obvious to me that there will be (at least) another “City Hunter” animated film.. What surprises me is that it’s taken this long to pick up the manga’s canon story, since absolutely nothing has happened since the ’90s to move the anime’s story forward. Maybe with a remake involved, I would have jumped on the boat, but today, no matter how good “City Hunter The Movie: Angel Dust” looks, it’s pretty hard for me.
