“It was a year of pain, sadness, faith and unity”, Zelensky’s message to the Ukrainian people.

The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenskyindicated that this first year of the Russian war in his country was marked by “pain, sadness, faith and unity”.

“It has been a year of pain, sadness, faith and unity. And this year we have remained invincible. We know that 2023 will be the year of our victory!said the Ukrainian president.

He also pointed out that on February 24 – when his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, gave the order to invade Ukraine – “millions” of Ukrainians “made a choice” in defending the blue flag and YELLOW.

“We don’t run away, but we face each other. resist and fightstressed the leader of Ukraine.

Zelensky published this message through his profile on his social networks, accompanied by a video with images of the victims of the war, the wounded and displaced, the struggle of the soldiers of the Ukrainian army, or the multiple demonstrations in different cities of the world in support of Kyiv.

This Friday marks twelve months since the start of the so-called “special military operation” by the Kremlin, months that were marked by bloody battles on the frontfor the military, economic and humanitarian aid of the international community, and for the addition of a series of sanctions against the Russian authorities.

Moreover, on the eve of the anniversary, the United Nations General Assembly approved by 141 votes a symbolic – because non-binding – resolution presented by Ukraine condemning the Russian invasion.
