Avatar: El Camino del Agua (97%) is now available in Mexican movie theaters and thousands of people attended the premiere. On the night of December 14, a shooting was reported inside the Cinépolis of Plaza Américas in Boca del Río, Veracruz, a situation that caused panic among those attending the show and those who were walking through the square.

The incident took place inside room nine when, according to witnesses, a young armed man entered the room and began shooting at the premiere of Avatar 2. Those who attended the launch of the feature film in the shopping complex located on Adolfo Boulevard Ruiz Cortines, had to flee by crawling and crawling to avoid being shot. The thunderous sound of the shots alarmed those who were in the compound and soon terror took over the entire square.

The report of firearm detonations caused the mobilization of the Veracruz Secretary of Public Security, which did not take long to evacuate the people who were inside the rest of the Plaza Américas movie theaters. A video is already circulating on social networks of how the alleged shooter was removed from the square, handcuffed and guarded by security elements. According to witnesses, before firing the weapon, the subject first yelled that he was going to kill everyone, addressing those present in room 9 of the cinema. It has also been suggested that the young man was under the influence of some illegal substance.
