Barcelona, 19 Feb. Barcelona coach Xavi Hernández felt Ferran Torres had “one of his best games since he’s been here” after the 2-0 win over Cadiz.
“I’m very happy for the players who came in (there were six new additions to the starting XI). I see them training and they deserve it. That’s why I gave them all the confidence. You have to put Ferran forward,” added the coach at the press tour.
Asked if this great performance could give him the title at Old Trafford on Thursday, Xavi did not want to reveal anything: “We still haven’t thought about Old Trafford. He still works for the team. People appreciate him. for assists, for goals, through tunnels. But we appreciate other things.”
Another of the outstanding players against Cadiz was Sergi Roberto. “For me, Sergi Roberto’s criticism is one of the most unfair I’ve seen in my sporting career. I have blind faith in him.
