The President of the Political Coordination Council (Jucopo) of the Senate of the Republic, Ricardo Montreal Ávila, explained that, although he does not have banners or banners or billboards or fences, he will seek to be the candidate for the Presidency of the Republic in the 2024 election process for the Fourth Transformation.
It was during an event with activists from the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) at the town hall of Milpa Alta, in Mexico City, that the senator assured that he will succeed in the political exploit and winning the internal processes that are in place to decide who will be on the ballot in next year’s election.
He indicated that despite not having the support that, perhaps, the other candidates for the candidacy could have, he has progressive ideas, a nationalist projectencouragement and a lot of love for the country, actions which, according to him, are enough for him to have the opportunity to be the face of 4T in the presidential succession.
“I want to tell you that I am ready for the big day for the political exploit that awaits us, I want to invite you so that when the time comes we will close ranks around a nationalist, progressive and advanced project (…) He will not be an obstacle, I have no fences, no money, no billboards; I have ideas, I have encouragement, I have a proposal and I have a lot of love for Mexico,” he explained on Sunday March 5.
He also explained that, although he has the project Reconciliation X Mexico where he travels all over the country, will wait for the start of the legal deadlines so that you can make your project known to the public; however, he explained that the meetings he organizes in certain parts of the country aim to promote reconciliation.
“We will work on Saturdays and Sundays to take stock, discuss the reconciliation process and we will wait for legal times to promote what the law authorizes us to do, at the moment there are meetings to promote reconciliation”
And it is that the internal disputes between the corcholatas of Morena have been made public, so much so that a group of morenistas close to the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), Marcelo Ebrard Casaubón, filed a complaint against Claudia Sheinbaum for allegedly using party resources to promote her image.
To which, Monreal Ávila decided that it disagreed with the complaint filed internally against the head of government in Mexico City, as he said it deserved respect and appreciation. On the other hand, she considered that the action could be described as “worrying” and that could contaminate the environment inside not only of the cherry festival, but of the entire Fourth Transformation.
Likewise, he urged all members of Regeneración Nacional to establish strong rules for the process that will end in 2024, but begin this year; furthermore, he requested that a meeting between all the candidates for the presidential candidacy is envisaged of the Republic, better known as “corcholatas”.
“I urge everyone to stay calm. I believe that we must settle our differences, the processes, yes the clear rules of the game”
Finally, the legislator reiterated his intention that there be clear rules within the party, for which he indicated that he will first formally propose the meeting between the corcholatas, the National Executive Committee, as well as with the Chairman of the Board, this so that the opinions of all those who are interested in the position are expressed and that differences can be set aside: “I am calling for us to meet very soon”.
