For Week 1 of the USA – MLS 2023 tournament, Nashville SC celebrated at home by taking on NYCFC. The local goals were scored by Walker Zimmerman (34′ 1T) and Jacob Shaffelburg (34′ 2T).

Armando Villarreal was the referee who officiated the game at Nissan Stadium.

Nashville SC’s next game in the championship will be away against the New York Red Bulls, while NYCFC will visit the Chicago Fire.
