BIRMINGHAM, England (AP) — When Arsenal’s title hopes were in jeopardy, Jorginho put in a stellar performance for the Gunners.

Jorginho’s shot from outside the box in added time bounced off the crossbar and Aston Villa keeper Emiliano Martinez before slotting in to put Arsenal ahead as they won 4- 2 Saturday. Arsenal ended a three-game Premier League run without a win.

Arsenal rallied twice from behind before Jorginho’s lucky rebound from a shot to make it 3-2 in the third minute of added time.

Gabriel Martinelli scored the fourth on a single goal after a quick counterattack after Martinez came on for the equaliser.

With the victory, Arsenal are three points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table before the defending champions face Nottingham Forest later. It also ended an alarming slump after losing four of their last five encounters.

Villa took the lead after five minutes thanks to a goal from Ollie Watkins, after Oleksandr Zinchenko gave the ball away. Bukayo Saka equalized with a perfect volley after 16 minutes, but Villa regained the lead in the 31st minute thanks to a Philippe Coutinho shot.

Zinchenko scored his first Arsenal goal with a shot from outside the box to equalize after 61 minutes.
