The relief will begin to be felt slightly from Wednesday

After long days of high temperatures and a new hello heat who hit the City of Buenos Aires, the long-awaited rains are expected. However, there is less and less for the arrival of the precipitation and of South winds that bring fresh air to the territory of Buenos Aires.

Thus, Tuesday will continue to be marked by heat and with a mostly cloudy sky. The day will start with a high low of 27 degrees and a high of 36 degrees, which is the hottest time of the whole week. Winds are also expected from the north and northeast with a speed between 13 and 22 kilometers per hour.

Arrived in the middle of the week, the relief will begin to be felt in the city thanks to the presence of showers in the morning. Then the day will continue with mostly cloudy skies, with a minimum of 25°C and a maximum of 31°C. Winds are expected – with a speed between 7 and 12 kilometers per hour – in a northwesterly direction which will later turn west.

Then, Thursday will mark a before and after in terms of temperature, since from that day on the temperatures will begin to drop. The day will start with a minimum of 23° degrees and a maximum of 29°. The day will be marked by precipitation – which will have between 10% and 40%, since showers are expected in the morning and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon/night. Northeast winds with a speed of between 7 and 12 kilometers per hour are also expected.

Arriving on Friday, the weather will improve and the day will start with partly cloudy skies. A minimum temperature of 24° degrees and a maximum of 30° are expected. The winds will blow in a southerly and southeasterly direction with a speed between 7 and 22 kilometers per hour.

On Saturday, the first day of the weekend, the day will start with a minimum temperature of 18°C ​​and a maximum of 27°C. The sky will remain mostly cloudy and will gradually improve to partly cloudy. In turn, winds are expected from the southeast and east with a speed between 13 and 31 kilometers per hour, characterizing the day with strong winds.

Finally, on Sunday, it will start with a minimum temperature of 21 degrees and a maximum of 28 degrees. The sky will remain with conditions similar to the day before, changing from mostly cloudy to partly cloudy. The wind will blow in an easterly direction with a speed between 13 and 31 kilometers per hour.

This will end a new heat wave in the city of Buenos Aires. However, the National Weather Service is calling to be alert to this phenomenon as it will continue into the start of the week, which is why the agency has issued a red alert for high temperatures.

-Increase fluid intake to maintain adequate hydration.

– Do not expose yourself too much to the sun or during the central hours of the day.

– Avoid alcoholic or very sweet drinks.

– Avoid large meals.

– Eat vegetables and fruits instead of large meals.

– Reduce physical activity.

– Wear light, loose-fitting, light-coloured clothing.

– Stay in ventilated or air-conditioned spaces.

And in terms of hydration, it is advisable to consume at least 2 liters or between 6 and 8 glasses of water per day. The goal is not to lose this main component of the human body that helps regulate body temperature; keep the skin hydrated and elastic; transport nutrients to body cells; and eliminate residue or waste, among other functions.
