Wild thieves in La Plata: they cut women to rob them and attack the police with stones

Yesterday Tuesday afternoon, Personnel from the 13th La Plata Police Station captured Alexis Rodríguez inside the Children’s Republica 21-year-old young man from the Gonnet district for a particularly violent robbery, which occurred at the corner of 500 and 23rd Street, an act doubly aggravated by climbing, the use of a knife and minor injuries.

The victim was a 56-year-old woman. According to the charge against him, Alexis entered the woman’s house to steal a black Motorola cell phone, 15,500 pesos and various clothes. During a struggle with his victim, the accused took a sharp element to cut off his head and arm. The alert reached the area police station while Rodríguez was on the run, sources in the case told GlobeLiveMedia. Witnesses provided the characteristics of the accused, who was seen entering the Children’s Republic, in the middle of the carnival festival. There he was found and arrested, with the loot still in his pockets. The victim, meanwhile, was transferred to Gonnet Hospital where she received head sutures.

The file is in the hands of the UFI #11 of the provincial capital, by Álvaro Garganta.

The same afternoon and in the same jurisdiction, the search for a runaway minor ended in an episode of violence. The 16th Police Station has been ordered to arrest a 16-year-old boy, wanted for repeated gang and armed robbery, a case of La Plata’s No. 1 Juvenile Responsibility UFI.

Thus, they arrived at an address on 122nd Street, where they found the accused. There he was accompanied by a 15-year-old boy from Berisso. According to the latest report, while the fugitive was uploaded to the cell phone, his friend started throwing stones at the troops. The friend – who is suspected of belonging to a local criminal gang – was also arrested, charged with the offense of degradation, assault and resisting authority.

Also on Tuesday afternoon, personnel from the Melchor Romero 14th Police Station raided two homes on the orders of UFI #6. They were looking for Lucas Uribe, 26, for the crimes of theft, injury and misuse of weapons. He was on the run two years ago, accused of assaulting a pensioner, hitting him in the head with the butt of a rifle. He was found in the Gonnet district, rue 521. Thus, he was arrested and transferred to the cell, the time of his investigation.

On the other hand, Jesús de Nazareth Luna was also arrested in La Plata in the early hours of Wednesday, also by staff of the 16th precinct, another file from UFI #11. A patrolman from the local command arrived at the home after a telephone alert. They met Luna’s partner, who was waiting on the sidewalk with one arm covered in blood:she assured that her companion threatened her with death and then stabbed her. The prosecution ordered interim measures to protect the victim.
