Worldwide, breast cancer continues to be one of the most common types of cancer and, according to data provided by the World Health Organizationin 2020, at least 15,509 active cases and 4,411 deaths from this disease were estimated.
In Colombia, the data is no less encouraging, because according to the Ministry of Health and Social Protectionbreast cancer is the leading cause of illness and death from this type of disease among Colombian women.
And this is where the concern of Chichila comes from, who shares her own experience and admits that due to professional activities she neglects her health a little and regularly practices self-examination. Eventually, he admitted that the news his doctor gave him wasn’t bad, but he recognized the importance of taking the time to take care of himself.

Cecilia said that although this is not the month in which the global fight against breast cancer is commemorated, she wanted to share her story to raise awareness about self-care among her followers.

In her video, Chichila confessed that due to professional reasons, in 2022, she neglected her health a bit and did not perform a self-examination, which worried her when she went to the doctor. and they found a time in one of her breasts.
“Last year she was very stupid and because I was working so much I didn’t take care of my health, I didn’t go and do anything, I’m not as judicious with self- examination that I should always have and I went to the obstetrician and he found a lump in one of my breasts and he said to me: ‘it is time to see again’”.
After reading the medical report, and until the date of the examination, Chichila confessed that she felt with to fearbecause the idea that this dough in her bosom could be a possible breast cancer made him reflect on the importance of self-examination.
“I’ve been, from the time I went until today, in a state of panic thinking, why am I not being judicious? What if I have something? I’m going through a very difficult.”
In the video, Chichila commented that the stress, Due to the uncertainty of the situation, he took her to an acting casting which she had, the very day of the exam, with an adrenaline rush so that she would not know how she did well in the acting test.
“Today I had all these exams in the morning and in the afternoon a casting, okay? Which means the amount of cortisol, adrenaline and all the alert substances in my body was, but, through the roof.”
Fortunately, the doctor who performed the tests confirmed that did not find nothing strange in his body, so he shouldn’t be worried, and he ended up celebrating with a mezcal the false alarm he experienced.
“The good news is that the doctor who did the mammogram and ultrasound tells me that he can’t find anything wrong, that everything is fine, that’s normal. So I’m going to drink this mezcal with you all.”
And after telling her story and celebrating the good news, Chihila messaged everyone who follows her and asked her followers to be always wise with care and examination of conscience.
