WASHINGTON (AP) — Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell tripped and fell in a hotel Wednesday and was hospitalized, a spokesman for the senator said.
The fall happened while McConnell, 81, was attending a private dinner party at a local hotel. He was admitted to hospital for treatment, his spokesman Doug Andres said.
In 2019, the leader of the Republican Party, who survived childhood polio, tripped and fell in his Kentucky home, breaking his shoulder.
