I will be back, I think I deserve the rematch, it was a great fight, a close fight,” Paul said in the ring, as his boxing record was down to six wins (4KOs) and one loss.
Despite Paul’s motivation, which was on the rise to beat challengers who weren’t purebred boxers, like a fellow influencer, a former NBA basketball player and three mixed martial arts fighters, he couldn’t defeat a boxer who, although he had limitations, he had more resources than his opponent.

The left jab allowed Tommy Fury to settle in the first rounds, which little by little released its deadliest weapon, the right. ROUND BY ROUND :
1°R: Fury quickly went for the fight and made the best impact. His quality as a boxer led him to press, although the momentum of the two ended in a warning from the judge for a tie. This would happen multiple times throughout the fight, which got pretty messy in that first round, ending with a Jab from Fury and a right hand bomb from Paul at the end. Tommy left a better impression.
2° and 3°R: Fury’s left jab made it harder for Paul, who still managed to get a fly. Jake also used the jab to move the Brit who seemed to sense it. Paul moved forward several squares and landed a left hook. Tommy felt it.
4°R: A good right hand from Tommy was his calling card early in the fourth round. Tommy moved all in and landed three more right hands. Paul felt the punishment. The jabs continued and it was the best round for the Briton. Just towards the end, Paul landed a left hook and then a right bombardment.
5°R: Paul repeated his last play from the previous round: another right hand that Tommy didn’t see coming, but held. The judge subtracted a point from Jake for hitting from behind and that meant he had to go out and risk more, as presumably he had lost on the cards. That’s when Jake landed a nice mixed left hook shot that Tommy felt. It was without a doubt the best shot of the evening. The Briton managed to land a right hand and that’s how an even round went.
6°R: Paul landed a powerful overhand right hand that gave Tommy a loose leg, who was able to get back into the fight with the jab and two more hooks that sent the American back. Another jab and a right-handed cross put him in the fight, but the judge deducted a point for equalizing after several warnings. At that time, a right hand bomb from Jake and a very good cross to finish the round better than Tommy.
7°R: Midway through that round was a right double from Tommy which Jake resolved with a deuce. The British took control of the fight and saw Paul tired. Another right hand from Fury plus a nice jab that definitely complicated the fight for his rival. Although he ended up with his left eyebrow cut off by a headbutt, Tommy dominated the match with his jab and good right hand position.
8°R: With a left hook from Jake, Tommy wobbled. With force, the youtuber went and went, but Fury responded. However, he was careless and a right to the chin sends him to the canvas. Despite complaints from the British, the judge opened the account. It was a movie ending, which left some uncertainty as to who would be the winner this fall. But Tommy took over the action with a powerful right hand that swelled Jake Paul’s left eye. Another forehand from Fury, an equalizer attempt from Jake which he couldn’t pull off, and another combination from the Briton brought the American into the ropes. Another uppercut and another tie from Paul. Fury pulled out all the stops and finished off his rival, who felt the wear and tear on his legs.
FINAL: The closure is announced with the victory by split decision by Tommy Fury. A fair victory, despite a tight fight. It was the first defeat of Jake Paul’s professional career, with a good presentation but who was beaten by the first professional boxer he faced. Surely, and because they deserve it, there will be revenge.
