Ukraine shot down since last September, when the Russian bombardment of the country’s infrastructure began, a total of 650 Russian missiles and as many Iranian-made suicide bomberssaid today the spokesman of the Ukrainian Air Force, Youri Ignat.

Quoted by local news agency UkrinformIgat assured that “since September 11, when they started attacking the infrastructure, the Russian Federation has lost about 650 cruise missiles and about 650 Iranian suicide bomberswho were slaughtered.”

Ignat added that he was referring to high precision weapons (Iskanders, Kalibri and Kh-101) and that although the Russians can produce more missiles “the volume of production cannot cover the costs”.

The military spokesman said that the Russians also have old soviet missiles s-300but that these may not achieve their objectives “because of its dysfunction”although he warned that areas that are on the front line could be affected by this type of weapon.

“It is necessary to destroy missile launch facilities,” Ignat said.

In its latest report on the situation on the front lines, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian soldiers had repelled more than 60 Russian attacks on the Eastern Frontespecially in the region of Donetsk and especially in the vicinity of the besieged city of Bakhmutwhere the situation is becoming more difficult every day, according to what the President of Ukraine said this evening, Volodomir Zelensky.

“Our warriors defending the Bakhmut sector are true heroes”added the Ukrainian leader in his usual evening speech, in which he was also “grateful to each and every one of the people who heroically support this leadership and other leaderships in Donbass.”

Zelensky said he was “constantly in touch” with their military commanders in the region and that the Donetsk region, in the east of the country, deserved “special attention”.

“In the direction of Bakhmut, the situation is becoming more and more difficult. The enemy is constantly destroying anything that can be used to protect our positions.to gain a foothold and secure the defense,” Zelensky said.
