Two police officers accused of stealing a shipment of cocaine seized in Buenaventura have been arrested

In an operation of National Police advance in the last hours, two police officers from the section of Buenaventura (Cauca Valley) They were arrested for allegedly stole 45 kilos of cocaine which had been seized by the authorities in the region about 20 days ago.

Remember that this is not the first arrest of a group of uniformed officers in recent months for having been involved in the theft of a shipment of narcotics seized in the country.

Regarding the operation during which the shipments of cocaine were seized, which would then be stolen by the detained police officers, the authorities specified that it occurred on June 10, 2022 on the road which connects the sector of The Lizama with him municipality of cimitarra.

Apparently, when the investigation began, the uniformed officers returned some of the stolen cocaine, however, because three kilos were still in their possession, for this reason they were charged with the crimes of possession and trafficking of narcotics and diversion by appropriation.
