WHO chief Tedros during his visit to Syria after the earthquake

GENEVA – WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus will brief the press on his mission to earthquake-affected countries following his visit to northwestern Syria following the devastating earthquakes that hit northern Syria and southern Turkey in February. Dr Tedros is the first UN director to enter northwestern Syria since the conflict began 12 years ago.
