Tolima qualifies for the group stage by beating Junior

Vinotinto y Oro won by the slightest difference against Tiburón, in the match played this Thursday. The local scored the only goal of the game 6 minutes into the first half, through Junior Hernández. On a cross from Facundo Boné, the defender touched the ball in the large area and entered the opposite goal.

Despite Junior having the most ball with an average of 65%, his effort wasn’t enough to overcome the result.

The best player of the match was Junior Hernández. The Tolima defender had a good level, scoring 1 goal and stealing 3 balls.

Luis González also distinguished himself in the Manuel Murillo Toro stadium. The Junior striker shot 5 times in the opposite goal and made 44 correct passes.

Referee Jesús Valenzuela Sáez was in charge of supervising the match at the Manuel Murillo Toro stadium.

By defeating the Shark, Vinotinto y Oro earned their place in the CONMEBOL – Copa Sudamericana 2023 group stage.
