Flight 3923 from South West Airlines who was leaving for Florida Havana Cubawas struck by birds on takeoff, causing an engine fire and filling the cabin with smoke.

The events were recorded on Sunday moments after the plane took off from José Martí International Airport in Havana, bound for Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

According to the company itself, the plane “suffered a bird strike on an engine”for which he was forced to return to Havana airport as no injuries were reported.

Subsequently, the 147 passengers and six crew members managed to evacuate the aircraft using inflatable slides; they were later accommodated on another flight to Fort Lauderdale.
