In USA Week 1 – MLS 2023, Atlanta celebrated this Saturday against SJ Earthquakes. The goals of the match for the locals were scored by Thiago Almada (47′ 2T and 53′ 2T, from a free kick). While the visitor’s goal was scored by Jérémy Ebobisse (12′ 1T).
Luiz Araújo missed the chance to equalize for Atlanta United, failing to convert a penalty in the 38th minute of the first half.

Referee Jon Freemon was chosen to carry out the actions of the match.
At the next date, Atlanta will host Toronto FC and the SJ Earthquakes will play at home against Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Stanford Stadium.
