The current “Paseo Lineal Roberto Clemente Walker” is located on the PR-187 highway, in the area of ​​Piñones, belonging to the municipality of Loíza, Senator Marissa Jiménez said in a press release on Saturday.

According to Jiménez, the governor of Puerto Rico, Pedro Pierluisi, will allocate more than 3 million dollars for the reconstruction of the leisure facilities, whose work should begin this year.

The naming of the linear walkway with Clemente’s name is given after the approval of Joint Puerto Rico Senate Resolution 185, as explained in the statement.

According to the measure, “at the beginning of the year 2000, the ‘Paseo de Piñones’ was inaugurated, with an investment of approximately 7.5 million dollars, with funds from the Ministry of Transport and Public Works (DTOP) “.

“This project allows all visitors to travel 11 kilometers, which extends from the ‘La Paseadora’ area, in Boca de Cangrejos, to the Monte Grande sector, in the municipality of Loíza”, details the measure.

And he adds: “People enjoy the flora and fauna of the place, in an environment full of peace and harmony with nature. Likewise, they can taste the exquisite gastronomy and interact with the rich culture of Loice”.
