A young man who accompanied the victim, also from Venezuela and who lived in the same building as him, told the police that he was sitting there when a robber approached them and showed them a gun to take their phones.

A neighbor of the victim assured NT: “I am Venezuelan like him. I’ve been here for 3 months and I met Juan Francisco. He was a professional boy, a systems engineer. He had plans and dreams that came true because he was an entrepreneur, a hard worker”. To supplement his income, he works as a delivery driver on his motorcycle. Precisely, Juan Francisco was registered in the messaging category of the AFIP.

Another neighbour, of the same nationality, said:

“We don’t know if the offender was alone or accompanied. He came walking. He asked for his things. Something extreme is happening here. Less than two meters away we have a police station and the insecurity is enormous here. You no longer feel calm. We in Venezuela were always on alert, waiting, because we already knew the situation we were living in. We thought Argentina was a quieter country, but now we see it’s not so”.
