The Secretary for Citizen Security (CSS) from Mexico City reported that 15 people were arrested to be allegedly linked to the resale of tickets of the electronic music festival held at the Hermanos Rodríguez racecourse, the Electric Daisy Carnival: EDC.

To prevent illegal ticket sales, SSC members conducted a operational special which resulted in the arrest of 15 people. It is 10 men and five women that they were offering tickets with a different price than the box office or maybe they were fake.

It should be noted that among the detainees there were minorsIn total, there were three 17-year-old teenagers, while the rest of the population was between 18 and 61 years old. All have been made available to the Civic Judge, as reported by the SSC through a statement shared on Sunday, February 26.

The people were outside the property located on the Iztacalco Town Hall and uniformed officers secured approximately nine tickets.

“The system put in place led to the arrest of five women and ten menincluding three minors, who were identified during they offered tickets at a different price at the box office or perhaps apocryphal, outside the compound in the mayor of Iztacalco’s office that encouraged resale, they also got about nine tickets,” the SSC detailed in a bulletin.

In addition, three of the detainees had already been brought before the civic judge for reselling tickets during other demonstrations, according to the exchange of information carried out by the authorities. Likewise, the authorities deployed an operation until the end of the event.

Let us recall that just the day before, on Saturday February 25, agents of the SSC arrested three women who apparently committed criminal acts at the music event. Citizens made reports in different parts of the place as they reported that they had been stripped of their mobile phones.

The first support came when the troops were called upon by a man who named someone as the person likely responsible for stealing his mobile device, which has been identified with an estimated value of 25,000 pesosfor which the police arrested a 30-year-old woman, identified as the possible perpetrator.

The aforementioned woman was found with other 11 mobile devices. In another action, a woman was inspected because a concert attendee pointed the finger at her for taking her mobile phone. Similarly, another action took place when a man asked the police for help because he a woman who was running meters in front of him had just taken his mobile phoner of the trouser bag, for which she was arrested and after an examination the object was found.

In addition to reports of cellphone theft, there were seizures of large doses of illegal drugs, as members of the Banking and Industrial Police (PBI), SSC Mexico City, arrested a 22-year-old man who assured them different types of drugs and two mobile phone equipment.

They were also found 20 psychotropic pills bagged in blue plastic, 14 small blue sachets containing a white powder with the characteristics of cocaine16 doses with the characteristics of the drug known as LSD, 14 cigarettes made with suspected marijuana, three plastic packages with possible crystal and a bottle with a strong smelling colorless liquid popularly identified as Poppers.
