There are six people arrested for the kidnapping and death of Americans in Matamoros

A total of six people were captured in the case of the four US citizens who were kidnapped (two of whom were found dead) in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. In addition, two long guns and one short were seized.

“At the moment they have six people arrested for these facts, one of them, named Jose “N”found in flagrante delicto, linked to the procedure for aggravated abduction. As well as five others related to the process by aggravated kidnapping and simple voluntary homicide: Antonio “N”, Luis “N”, Ever “N”, Juan Francisco “N” and Gustavo “N”, the Mexican government said in a statement.

Similarly, the authorities indicated that one of the weapons insured corresponds to ballistic tests. Five vehicles linked to the events in Tamaulipas were also confiscated.

One of the vehicles, a van Chrysler Pacificais in which the victims were travelingalso got a ambulance and three other vans. The other materials seized were eight magazines of different calibers, 93 cartridges and two tactical vests.

The Government of Mexico pointed out that the survivors of the attack (an uninjured woman and an injured man) were delivered to the United States Last Tuesday, March 9, and two days later, the bodies of the other two people were delivered according to protocol.

Also on the night of March 8 were abandoned five people accompanied by a message signed by the criminal group Gulf Cartel which indicated that the men would be responsible for the kidnapping and death of the Americans.

“The Gulf Cartel, Scorpions Groupstrongly condemns the events of Friday March 3, where sadly an innocent working mother died and 4 US citizens were abducted, 2 of whom died, for him we have decided to deliver to those concerned and directly responsible for the facts, who acted at all times with their own determination and lack of discipline”.

In the text the criminal group also “excuse“with the inhabitants of Matamoros, the relatives of Mrs. Arely (Mexican deceased in the incident) and affected American families.

Initially, the pursuit General of Justice (FGJ) of Tamaulipas treated the men as victims of crime, but initial interviews revealed that they had participated in the abduction.

Remember that three of the four kidnapped Americans have drug-related criminal records. THE men who diedZindell Brown and Shaeed Woodard, are believed to be linked to the drug manufacturing and tradepossession of a weapon and robbery with violence.

While Latvia Tay McGeea woman who was not injured in the attack, has a record of drug manufacturing and trafficking, threats against an official and theft of property. For its part, Eric Williams is the only one of them has no file criminal.
