The tech giant has added a new update to its service Conduct of the application, in which it allows to add annotations in the files PDF using a stylus or by writing directly with your finger, information that will be stored in the document itself.

According to the company, to take these notes it is necessary to have the latest update, which is already being implemented on all devices. android (version Marshmallow 6.0 or later) and for all customers of Google workspace there G Suite.

Google Drive is a cloud storage service for business-provided files, documents, and other types of content. With this extension, you can save files online and access them from any device with an internet connection.

On an Android device, you can use a stylus or finger to annotate PDFs in the Google Drive app. To annotate a PDF on Android, you can follow the steps below:

  1. On the Android device, the Google Drive app can be opened.
  2. To enter preview mode, the PDF you want to annotate must be open.
  3. In the lower right corner, you can click the button to take notes.
  4. A toolbar will open there with various annotation options. A stylus or a finger can be used to select an annotation tool. Also, the toolbar can be held down to align it to any side of the screen.
  5. You can save the original PDF or make a new copy with a new name. If you save the new copy under a new name, the marks will not be saved in the original document.

The Google Drive platform is also leaving to sychronize the content of a computer with a specific space in Drive, so that each modification made to the files is automatically updated in Google’s virtual system, just as it can be done from other platforms such as Dropbox.

In personal Drive accounts, you may find an option in the settings called “Get Drive for computers“, in which folders cannot be created directly as in the space of “my unit”.

Once the program is installed on the computer you want to pair with, a pop-up window will open on the device that allows you to set some preferences. Among them is choosing a particular folder that syncs all of its contents with the user’s Drive account.

It is recommended to establish that the name of the folder includes an indicator indicating that it is the one chosen to save the documents with the Google platform in order to avoid synchronization or saving problems of the files necessary for other locations.
