“As a Colombian, I experienced firsthand the internal armed conflict in our country. Throughout my work for more than 16 years, at the National Institute of Forensic Medicine, I have grown from doctor at the local unit of Yarumal (Antioquia) to general manager. I know the crime of disappearance from the register of the missing, the practice of autopsies on unidentified corpses, the design and implementation of data collection systems on different forms of violence, and epidemiological and social research.

Light Janeth Forero Martinez She is a surgeon from the University of Antioquia, a specialist in epidemiology from the Universidad del Rosario and a doctor in legal sociology and political institutions from the Externado de Colombia University.
