The storm Filomena it caused havoc last week in almost all of Spain. One of the Autonomous communities that most suffered its effects was Madrid, first because of the great snowfall and then due to the cold wave that the Spanish capital suffered, with temperatures down to -12 degrees.

Till the date, it was known that the storm had resulted in four deaths In our country: two in Madrid and another two in Malaga. But this Saturday, the lifeless body of a man of about 60 years old at number 25 Arganda street in the Madrid district of Arganzuela, as confirmed by sources from Emergencies to Europa Press.

The health have confirmed the death, although they have not been able to ascertain the causes of it. The victim, who possibly a homeless person, showed no signs of violence, as reported by the aforementioned media.

The two cases from Madrid

The first known case in the city was that of a 73-year-old man. His corpse appeared in what is popularly known as Palmera Square, between General Ricardos and Nuestra Señora de la Luz del Carabanchel district. The victim collapsed on the ground after suffer a cardiorespiratory arrest.

The other death occurred in the municipality of Zarzalejo. In this case, the body was buried by snow. Previously, Isabel Diaz Ayuso, regional president, referred to other mortal remains found on a bench in the street, although without specifying the location.
