Alexander Garnacho, at 18, is one of the young talents who dazzle in Europe. And, despite his young age, the Spanish-born but nationalized Argentinian has begun to earn an important place in a star team like Manchester United.

For several weeks his name has been the protagonist of the transfer market because of his future, since his contract with the Red Devils ends in June 2024 and he has not yet found an agreement with the English institution for its renewal, which has put several of the main clubs on the planet on high alert.

However, the striker has now made headlines for the unexpected nod to Boca Juniors. The youngster liked an Instagram post recounting the recent victory of the xeneize team against Platense at La Bombonera as part of the fourth day of the Professional League. Of course, this action caused a stir among the fans of La Ribera’s casting and they even fantasize that one day he would wear the blue and gold jersey.

However, according to the European press, Alejandro Garnacho is most likely to extend his relationship with Manchester United, a cast that is third in the Premier League (five behind leaders Arsenal) and in the Europa League round of 16. (In the first leg, played at Camp Nou, they drew 2-2 against Barcelona).

As ESPN reports, the Madrid-born man has agreed to everything to extend their relationship until the end of 2028. The only obstacle stopping the final green light are some details with the image rights. By signing, Garnacho will receive a considerable increase in his salary: he will go from earning 7,000 pounds sterling to 32,000 of the same currency per week. Additionally, his salary has the option to increase even more based on the relevance he earns in the team.

Negotiations started several months ago as United’s board consider Alejandro one of their most important assets. Given interest from several continental giants such as Real Madrid and Juventus, Manchester are looking to protect the driver with a million dollar termination clause. Recall that Garnacho arrived from Atlético de Madrid in 2020 in exchange for 420,000 euros and is one of the youngsters that Lionel Scaloni has in sight for the senior team.

The striker, so far this season, has played 25 games (nine starts), in which he has scored three goals and provided six assists.
