A work done by the Urban Operational Tactical Intelligence Unit of the National Police, better known as Terna Group of the Peruvian National Police (PNP) He managed to find Rusbel Mayhualla Sánchez (25), alias ‘The Flying Cat’, a criminal who sold drugs and who also had a long criminal record.

Seeing the police, the drug dealer did not hesitate to escape through the rooftops of his neighborhood in Huaycan, Tie. Police said they worked hard to find drug dealer.

– “How much do you sell for each kete?” asked the police.

– “AS / 0.50 cents”, replied the offender.

The modus operandi of blown catr’ is retail. The micro-vendor owned approximately 1,260 ketes of basic cocaine paste (PBC) and sold each kete for S/0.50, generating an average profit of S/630.00.

However, when inquiring about his criminal record, the police were surprised that it was a character with several complaints and in particular, several arrests for various types of criminal acts.

“A month ago I fell,” replied the offender when asked if it was the first time he had been arrested.

At the time of his capture, the criminal climbed onto the roof with the intention of escaping. In the process, he threw the bag of drugs, but in vain, because the police managed to catch him on the roof and get the medicine who tried to escape him.

“He keeps different files, for different crimes,” revealed PNP Colonel Walter Palomino, leader of the Green Squad. The story of Mayhualla Sánchez, aka the flying cat, is as follows:

– In 2017, 2019 and in 2022 he was reported for theft.

– In 2019, he was reported for vehicle theft.

– In 2021 and 2022 he was reported for aggravated theft.

– In 2022, he was reported for rape.

“This subject is immersed in several crimes that we can appreciate, not only in the sale of drugs, added Colonel Palomino.

In order to make the drug dealer’s capture possible, the terna group conducted investigative work involving various investigative tactics. Some of them were visualizing, filming and situating the subject

In 2022, Peru succeeded in seizing a historic number of narcotics. There Anti-Drug Directorate (Dirandro) reported that throughout the year it was possible to seize approximately 79.18 tons of drugs, marking a record number in the country.

“One of the main objectives of our management is the frontal fight against drug trafficking. Our absolute support and our sincere congratulations to the PNP for its permanent work and its inexhaustible effort in the fight against this scourge”, declared the Minister of the Interior, Willy Huerta.

The report also included the number of gangs dismantled and the number of people arrested.

– 134 criminal organizations dismantled.

– 11,304 people arrested for their links with drugs.

– 413 drug laboratories destroyed.

– 58 clandestine runways destroyed.

– 10 aircraft seized which were used to transport this illegal product.
