He Ministry of Justice and Human Rights (MINJUSDH) announced this Saturday that it will provide “solidarity support” to S/. 50,000 soles for each person killed in the protests, as well as S/. 25,000 soles to civilians and police seriously injured between December 2022 and February 2023.

The portfolio indicates that this is the “first achievement” of the multi-sectoral commission of a temporary nature, created last December, to monitor actions in favor of the bereaved and seriously injured during the mobilizations.

“Representatives of the Office of the Ombudsman, representatives of the Office of the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Peru and of the Interreligious Council of Peru participate in this Commission,” the ministry said in a statement.
