The “Cuatrero” wrestler was arrested for the attempted murder of his girlfriend Stephanie Vaquer

After eight days of filing a complaint against the Mexican wrestler “cattle rustlerby his sentimental partner, the Chilean Stephanie Vaquer for alleged attempted murder, Attorney General of Mexico City announced that the boxer had been arrested in the state of aguascalientes on the night of Friday March 10.

What attracted the most attention were the Photographs which he featured in the video, where you can see the injuries to his neck and the way he allegedly obstructed his Respiratory tracts with the hands.

There violence against women constitutes a serious public health problem and a violation of their human rights. The different types and manifestations of gender-based violence cause serious physical, mental, sexual and reproductive health problems in the short, medium and long term for the people and particularly for the women who are confronted with it. Similarly, violence not only affects women’s health, but also has a high social and economic cost for health systems and society in general.

In accordance with the Federal District Law on Women’s Access to a Life Free of Violence, the violence against women is defined as “any action or omission which, based on gender and resulting from the use and/or abuse of power, has as its object or result physical, psychological, property, economic, sexual or the death of women, both in the public and private spheres, limits their access to a life free from violence”.
