Madrid, March 2 (EFE) .- Colombian independent digital media Cuestión Pública won this Thursday the King of Spain’s International Journalism Award for Ibero-American media.

Cuestión Pública was founded in January 2018 by three reporters with experience in investigative and data journalism “to fill the void in the offers of independent investigative journalism in Colombia and to shed light on cases of abuse of power”, as they define themselves on their website.

The King of Spain International Journalism Awards, the most prestigious in the Ibero-American sphere, have been awarded annually since 1983 and were created by the EFE Agency and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) . EFE
