The government of Mexico City counted 90,000 people during the march that took place this Sunday, February 26 in the Zócalo of the capital. This demonstration was called in defense of the National Electoral Institute (INE) and against the call “Plan B” of the electoral reform proposed by Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

“Today, in the Zócalo of Mexico City, 90 thousand people They organized a peaceful demonstration,” reported the Road Orientation Center of the Secretariat of Citizen Security in the capital. However, the political opposition to the AMLO government, which attended the mobilization, blamed the influx of half a million people.

“More than 500,000 people came to the CDMX Zócalo today to defend INE and our democracy. López Obrador said that if more than a hundred thousand protested, he would go to his ranch. So now you can go pack your bags,” wrote National Action (PAN) Senator Kenia López Rabadán.
