‘Tamaulipas is a risk, we are concerned about the Gulf cartel’: US ambassador speaks out after Matamoros kidnappings

The American Ambassador to Mexico, Ken Salazar, lamented the death of the two citizens found in Matamoros, Tamaulipas after being kidnapped while crossing the border. The Minister of Foreign Affairs issued a statement to position himself in the face of the wave of insecurity from the drug cartels, a situation which he described as extremely importance to resolve.

“We regret the deaths of two American citizens in Tamaulipas. This attack against our fellow citizens demonstrates the need to act against the cartels. I share my statement in this regard.”, published the ambassador from his Twitter account.
