Sporting FC were unable to visit Dep. Saprissa and lost 2-1

Saprissa beat Sporting FC in the match played this Sunday at the Ricardo Saprissa stadium, on date 10 of the Costa Rica – Torneo Clausura 2023 tournament. The goals of the match for the local were scored by Kendall Waston (31′ 1T) and Mariano Torres (11′ 2T). While the visitor’s goal was scored by Anthony López (6′ 1T).

In the 74th minute of the second half, Luis Flores managed to turn the game around, but his shot hit the post and Sporting FC missed the draw.

Mariano Torres was the party figure. Midfielder Dep. Saprissa was the author of 1 goal and completed the goal 2 times.

Luis Torres was also important. The Sporting FC goalkeeper was fundamental as he saved 9 shots.

Saprissa will host Municipal Grecia the following day. Likewise, Sporting FC will play at home against Cartaginés.

After the match, the home team finds itself with 21 points and in second place in the standings. While the visit has 17 units and ranks third in the tournament.
