Sports Writing, Feb. 24 Israeli Manor Solomon’s entry onto the pitch at half-time saved Fulham from defeat, who drew at Craven Cottage against Julen Lopetegui’s Wolverhampton, who took the win on course with the goal of the Spaniard Pablo Sarabia in the first half.

The equalizer leaves the goals of both midway. At Fulham who have won two in a row and who are one step away from the European zone that they would have reached with the victory. For Wolvherhampton, as it would have taken them away from the relegation zone.

The visiting side coped better with the engagement, taking the lead in the 23rd minute in action that started with a cross from Mattheus Cunha into the box. Mexican Raúl Jiménez lowered the ball to Pablo Sarabia who was unforgiving and beat German Bernd Leno.

The changes revitalized Marco Silva’s side who brought on Solomon and Serbian Sasa Lukic at half-time. And the landscape has changed.

Fulham equalized on the hour mark in the 64th minute. It was a superb goal from the Israeli who received the ball from Antonee Robinson and, far from the box, stalked, executed a formidable kick who overtook goalkeeper Jose Sa.

The visiting keeper appeared at the end to save Julen Lopetegui’s team. The Portuguese goalkeeper made a spectacular save on a shot from Brazilian Carlos Vinicius.

The tie rewarded both. But that leaves Fulham two points behind fifth-placed Newcastle, who mark the Premier’s European Zone, and leaves fifteenth-placed Wolves four behind relegated West Ham. ECE
