The district of Lima was one of the most affected by the mudslides produced by Cyclone Yaku.

The heavy rains and landslides that occur in different parts of the Peru product of Cyclone Yaku have touched millions of people, one of them is the surfer Sofia Mulanovichwho resides in the district of Beautiful Point, South of Lima, which experienced a strong flood between the night of Tuesday 14 and the early morning of Wednesday 15 March. “There are many neighborhoods in Peru on red alert due to rains, mudslides and terrible prevention that unfortunately exists in this country. I’m from Punta Hermosa and I see my neighborhood really flooded it breaks my heart and I join in contributing with all the necessary help, here is information on how to help recover Punta Hermosa and all those affected. We need everyone’s help. I’m sure many of you have enjoyed this wonder of a spa at some point in your life and now is the time to give back,” she wrote.

These are the things that are needed to start helping and to to be able to take over the neighborhood together: We need backhoe loaders with large and medium bucketsWe would greatly appreciate if someone could rent them to us or donate them to us, as well as ropes, rubber boots in size 40, 41 and 42, disposable food bags, cutlery, plates and glassessecurity tapes, water, shovels, industrial brooms, gas cylinderssandbags, flashlights, preferably ones for the head to work at night, as it looks like more rain is coming,” the video reads.

The eminent national athlete indicated the collection points to which citizens who wish to provide assistance can turn: “You can leave all these things in the college collection center nice pointWe are counting on your help and together we will be able to move things forward as we have always done, united,” he concluded.

The surfer described the phenomenon as the worst landslide in the history of Punta Hermosa.
