A shooting that occurred this Sunday in Maryland resulted in 5 people dead, including the shooter, who ended up committing suicide.

In accordance with NBC News, A man, identified as Joshua Green, 27, was the intellectual actor in the incident. Green killed two people, subsequently murdered his parents, burned down his house, and took his own life.

According to the report, during the shooting Green attacked three people in a Royal Farms store in Essex, Maryland, two of whom died and the third ended up hospitalized.

Baltimore County authorities said the shooter is also the prime suspect in the murder of his parents, who were found at his home in an unincorporated part of the County called Baldwin.

The police report indicates that Green left the store where the shooting took place and then went to his apartment to set it on fire. Police soon found the man dead with a gunshot wound to the head.

Green’s parents also received gunshot wounds, however the exact time of his death is unknown so far.

Breahna Brown, a spokeswoman for Royal Farms, did not provide information about the shooting at the store, clarifying that the company had no comment on the incident.

Similarly, not much information was given about the person who survived the shooting, but it was clarified that he was recovering at a local health center.

The aforementioned media indicated that the house in which the bodies of Green’s parents were found is in the name of Olivia D. Green and Douglas J. Green and that the authorities are no longer looking for more suspects, as it has become clear that all three incidents are related.

Shooting in Colorado

Last week it was reported on a shooting that occurred at a King Soopers supermarket in Colorado, United States, in which several people were injured and at least 7 people died, including a police officer.

A woman who witnessed what happened indicated that the shooting started when a man shot a woman in the supermarket pharmacy. The woman had to hide in a supermarket cupboard until the shooting ended.

The shooter was arrested and later identified as Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, who according to authorities was solely responsible for the incident. An investigation at the home of the detainee revealed the presence of several firearms.
