The last season of Shingeki no Kyojin (The attack of the Titans) will present its third part this year. Previously, it was announced that the initial batch would consist of an hour-long special episode that would cover much of the final arc. Eren Jaeger, with the power of the Rumble, approaches Marley with the aim of destroying her and thus finally obtaining peace for the whole world.

A new trailer released today sees the Founding Titan leading an army of Titan-like types that have the power to completely wipe out the enemy nation of Eldia. Meanwhile, Eren’s former companions, including Levi Ackerman and Hange Zoe (who were leaders of the Scout Legion), will try to stop him and save this population from genocide.
Mikasa and Armin also try to convince their friend to follow the right path and forget about those macabre ideals that made him an anarchist on his native island, Paradis. In addition, it seems that Zeke -the protagonist’s half-brother- and other Marley characters will play important roles in this final stage.

Shingeki no Kyojin is an anime based on the manga of the same name created by Hajime Isayama. In its final season, it was animated by studio MAPPA (Yuri on ice! there Chainsaw Man); after the first three seasons were produced by Wit Studio between 2013 and 2019. The title is one of the most successful in the history of Japanese animation and its conclusion is raising great expectations around the world.
According to Crunchyroll’s official synopsis, the series goes like this: “The last remnants of mankind were forced to retreat behind the towering walls of a fortified city to escape the massive man-eating titans that roamed the land in out of your strength. Only the heroic members of the Scout Legion dared to stray from the safety of the walls, but even these brave warriors rarely returned alive.”

However, when the illusion of this peaceful existence is shattered and the chances of survival become increasingly dim, many will have to choose between killing or being eaten. This is how Eren, Mikasa and Armin, three enthusiastic teenagers, join the Scouting Legion in order to fight against the titans who live beyond the walls.
