Madrid, 14 Feb. Colombian singer Shakira has apparently released a new record, a song that bears the title “Empty Cup” and on the cover of which she appears dressed as a mermaid and with her arms tied up.
The song, of which only the title, a part of the chorus and an image are known, leaked due to an outage of an online music platform, according to various media.
As we can see in the cover photo circulated on social networks, this time the song is made in collaboration with the Colombian musician Manuel Turizo, one of the stars of Latin music of the moment.
“I’ve been thirsty for you for a while, I don’t know why, I want more and I want to drink from an empty glass”, is the refrain that the Barranquilla singer included in the preview of the song which, as announced, will be released shortly.
The new song comes just a month after the one released in collaboration with Argentinian musician Bizarrap, titled “BZRP Music Sessions #53”, which garnered millions of views on the networks and became the Hispanic song with the most impact on them.
In this controversial subject, Shakira threw numerous darts at her ex-husband, Spanish footballer Gerard Pique and what appears to be his new partner.
The Colombian singer, who has been with Pique for over a decade and has two children with him, uses puns to criticize the former FC Barcelona player and his new partner: “I’m too big for you, c is why you are with someone just like you” or “I understood that it is not my fault if they criticize you, I only make music, sorry if I have you splashed”.
In addition to this new song, Shakira and singer Karol G have announced that they will also release a joint song, the first that unites the two Colombian artists musically. EFE
