A 48-year-old man has been transferred to the Gregorio Marañón Hospital in Madrid after being seriously injured this Sunday by a knife in the abdomen in the Plaza de Burdeos, according to a spokesman for Emergencies Madrid.

The incident took place this afternoon around half past five in Place de Bordeaux when the man was attacked with a knife and received two penetrating wounds to the abdomen.

The Samur-PC has treated him and he has been transferred in stable condition to the Gregorio Marañón Hospital . Likewise, the toilets have treated another 46-year-old man slightly injured in the same incident at the University Hospital of La Princesa. Meanwhile, the National Police is investigating the events.
