The National Learning Service (Sena) has announced the call for ‘Great Certification 2023’, which seeks that more than 30,000 Colombian and foreign residents can prove their experience and strengthen their growth in the professional and personal field.

Workers, self-employed and people looking for formal employment will be able to register until Sunday, February 26, 2023to access one of the 30,000 places offered in multiple fields of knowledge.

Alejandro Jiménez, director of the National Work Training System, explained that the entity has 31 areas related to agricultural production, transport, technology, among others, which are key elements for the sustainability and development of the national economy.

“It is an opportunity to improve the professional profile of those who carry out empirical work or who are professionals, technicians or technologists, thanks to the process of evaluation and certification of labor skills,” Jiménez added. .

It should be noted that this certification is carried out only by the SENA virtually, without the need for intermediaries and at no cost. The national entity has invited all interested persons to not paying and denounce if they are obliged to assume a certain type of cost.

Some of the most demanded fields include audio-visual production, private security and surveillance, agriculture, administrative management, performing arts, automotive industry, fashion design and health services.

For the “Your experience is worth it” initiative, which aims for participants to certify their experience, strengthen their job profile and open doors to new opportunities, SENA outlined the requirements to be met in order to participate:

  • Be of age.
  • Have the identity document: citizenship card or password for nationals; for foreign residents, foreigner’s identity card or Special Residence Card (PEP).
  • Have at least six months of professional experience, certified.
  • Have a computer in good condition and with internet access.

Interested persons who meet all the conditions indicated above by the SENA can complete the registration process for this call as follows:

  • Enter the National Learning Service portal: www.sena.edu.co.
  • Click on the ‘Grand Certification 2023’ banner.
  • Complete and submit the appeal form, or you can go directly to the following link: Grand Certification Registration 2023.

Thereafter, an assessor responsible for the National Apprenticeship Service appeal will contact the candidate directly, by e-mail or registered mobile phone, and advise them of the path to follow.

Shortlisted individuals should keep in mind that Labor Skills Certification is not a national entity training program, but rather Recognition of knowledge and skills acquired through experience.

“Keep in mind that you can only pre-register for one standard to certify your knowledge and multiple registrations may void your pre-registration. If the proposed standard is not on the list, the quota for that standard could have been reached,” said SENA.

Finally, SENA pointed out that between August 7, 2022 and January 31, 2023, the certification of approximately 100,000 people was carried out throughout the territory (between nationals and foreign residents).
