SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Domantas Sabonis scored 24 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and added 10 assists in his ninth triple-double of the season, and the Sacramento Kings held on Thursday to defeat the Knicks 122-117 in New York .

The Kings are 7-1 since the All-Star break and 39-26.

Sabonis was key to victory, with two free throws with six seconds left before the final whistle extended his side’s lead to five goals.

De’Aaron Fox converted 16 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter and Malik Monk finished with 19 off the Sacramento bench.

RJ Barrett scored 25 points for the Knicks, who are 39-29 after dropping their second straight loss after a nine-game winning streak.

Their starting point guard, Jalen Brunson, went to the locker room with pain in his left foot at halftime and did not return for the second half. In 19 minutes, he contributed 19 units to the team’s account.

Julius Randle finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds and Quentin Grimes had 19, including four 3-pointers.
