Sabag Montiel, before the attack

Fernando Sabag Montiel He is the main accused of the attack against Cristina Kirchner. It was he who pointed a gun to his head on the night of September 1 when the vice president arrived at her house. He mingled with the militants and fired at least once, but the bullet did not come out. Since that night, he has been in prison. But he won’t even agree to talk to his official defender. However, Sabag Montiel wrote a letter which appears in the attempted murder file and which is addressed to Diego Luciani, the prosecutor who sought the former president’s conviction in the Highway case. There, Sabag Montiel tells the prosecutor that he is kidnapped by CFK and by the judge. Maria Eugenia Capuchettithat the Federal Revolution had nothing to do with it and that the leader of the Senate bribed the father of his girlfriend, Brenda Ularteso that no one sees it.

“I need other judges to intervene in the case, to be trustworthy, like Andrés Basso, Jorge Gorini, Julián Ercolini. Thank you very much,” says the letter signed on March 3 at the prison of Ezeiza and added to the case last week, as confirmed at GlobeLiveMedia judicial sources. Basso and Gorini are the judges who, together with Rodrigo Giménez Uriburu, supported the oral hearing of the Highways Administration case and sentenced the vice president to six years in prison. Ercolini was the judge who ordered this investigation.

This is not the first time that Sabag Montiel has written in his own hand to the court. This media had already revealed last October the strange letter in which it asked that a right-wing leader, Hernan Carroll, supported his defense. The so-called Carroll lead was investigated in the filing and yielded no results. It’s not the first time he’s alluded to Luciani either. The day the official defender Juan Martin Hermida came to see him before the first investigation, Sabag Montiel reacted: “I love Luciani”.

The new letter comes now as investigators finalize details to close the investigation and send Sabag Montiel, Brenda Uliarte and drinks boss Nicolás Gabriel Carrizo to trial. The couple are accused of being the co-perpetrators of the attempted aggravated homicide. They risk a penalty of 15 years in prison. Carrizo is designated as a secondary participant in the attack.

In his investigations, Sabag Montiel did not speak. He only said that a group of “blacks” beat him while preparing him. And that his girlfriend had nothing to do with the attack. But during a meeting with a group of psychologists, psychiatrists and forensic doctors, he told the experts: “The act was simple. It’s simpler than everyone thinks: nobody told me. It doesn’t have much mystiqueI’m very calm now.” Those in charge of your criminal profile described “Nando” as a person full of “pedantry” and “vanity”. It is more: feels like nelson mandela because of his status as a political prisoner.

He uttered phrases like “adapt to the dropper” there “provoke a reaction among the people”, as a means of justifying their actions. Among the specialists’ conclusions is that Sabag did not think about the consequences of what he was going to do. It didn’t interest him. “For me, being here is a learning experience to be able to introspect and analyze. It’s a learning curve,” he said.

None of the words of Sabag Montiel in these interviews has the value of judicial notice.. However, they will be used by the public prosecutor in a future trial to paint the personality of the main defendant. The defense, however, is watching. He hasn’t played any cards yet. But he has in his sleeve the report made by two psychologists of the federal police as soon as the attacker was arrested by Kirchner activists. That night he posted “delusional type ideas” and a “confusing narrative”.

After a decision by the Federal Chamber, Judge María Eugenia Capuchetti asked for this order to be respected, but prosecutor Carlos Rívolo, who delegated the investigation, told her that he was still waiting for answers. One of them is a possible expert opinion on the kidnapped phone of Sabag Montiel, the contents of which were lost in the first hours of his arrest when the federal police tried the very morning after the attack to find it. access and block it, and the Aeroportuaria Police security attempt ended up resetting it to factory mode.

“Mr Prosecutor Luciani”, said Sabag Montiel in a difficult and tight handwriting, citing addresses of the prosecution which appear on the internet but which do not correspond to the office of the accuser in the Autoroute case. “I am Fernando Andrés Sabag Montiel, I am writing to you from my accommodation in the AOC pavilion (Continuous observation area of the SPF 1 (Federal Prison Service 1) of Ezeiza in the penitentiary complex, I ask you to lead the examination and the challenge to Judge María Eugenia Capuchetti in the CFP 2998/2022 case”, he said.

“CFK, my lawyers and the judge kidnapped me and they took away my contact with my relatives. They broke my cell phone to be incommunicado, disappear me and Brenda Uliarte”, indicates the letter. He also said that “the media lie by making up a bad story”. He claimed that his cell phone was unlocked on September 3 by Brenda, i.e. by the time he was already arrested the phone was in the hands of justice and she had not still been arrested. “She knows my password and they broke it at the PSA.”

Sabag Montiel also assured: “CFK bribed Leandro Uliarte, Brenda’s father, so no one would see me. They gave him a house and money to silence us and I want them to investigate.” He also denounced that the PSA entered his home during the roundup and stole “music equipment with complicity” to the owner of the house he was renting. “Three cars were hijacked from me,” he said. He also said that “Gabriel Carrizo was planted with a weapon like Nisman” and “the Federal Revolution is an invention”. This is where he asked other judges to investigate.
