Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated his American counterpart, Joe Biden, on the New Year and Christmas, the Kremlin reported on Thursday.
The president stressed that “Russia and the United States, as countries that assume a special responsibility for international and regional stability, can and must collaborate constructively, joining forces in the face of the many challenges and threats facing humanity.” In this context, he was convinced that both nations can “move forward and establish an effective Russian-American dialogue, based on mutual respect and [taking] into account the national interests of each.”
