Rains in Lima: from when will the cycle of rains begin in the capital, according to Senamhi forecasts

He National Meteorology and Hydrology Service (Senamhi) announced at a press conference that the rains in Lima will begin on March 12.

He National Emergency Operations Center (COEN) shared said information confirming the event climatological which has already caused several victims in the country.

According to Senamhi, the new start of the rains will take place from 12th of March and will continue in the days 13, 14 and 15 the area affected by the rain has increased, reaching Arequipa and Tacna.

Lima will be affected in the coming days, said the executive president of the senamhiGuillermo Baigorria Paz. He also said it would be heavy rain.

“We are talking about quantities of rain up to five millimeters of precipitation in Metropolitan Limasaid Baigorria Paz. The amount in question is equivalent to five liters of water per square meter.

However, the specialist recommended not only to see the impact by water, but also by weight, that is, each square meter would receive five kilograms of additional weight.

What days will it rain the most? The sub-directorate of meteorological forecasting pointed out that the days 14 and 15 there will be a greater rainfall intensity which will fall on the metropolis Lima and Callao.

GIVEN: Certain watercourses will be activated in the basin of the rimac river between Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 March in the afternoon. The increase in flow of the Huaura, Chillón and Rimac rivers will occur in these days.
