Pope Francis highlighted the women’s “managerial and reflective capacity”, hailing their contribution to the Vatican, where he appointed several to high-ranking positions.
“Women have a capacity for management and thinking that is totally different from ours and also, I would say, superior to ours, in another way.“, expressed the Catholic leader.
“We also see it in the Vatican: where we put the women, immediately things change, we move on“, he added, in an interview with Fact Church Worldthe monthly supplement for women from L’Osservatore Romano.
“We see it in everyday life, I have seen it several times passing on the bus, queuing to visit his sons in prison and the women who are there: the woman who never leaves his son, never!Francois reflects.
The Sovereign Pontiff added that “the woman has the ability to have three languages together: that of the mind, that of the heart and that of the hands. Since his election to the throne of Peter in 2013, Francis has increased the presence of women in various departments of the Roman Curia in relevant positions.
Pope Francis in July appointed for the first time three women, including a Latin American, members of the Dicastery for Bishops, the department of the Roman Curia responsible for selecting bishops from around the world.
