In the eighth date of the El Salvador – Clausura 2023 tournament, Jocoro beat CD Platense 2-1 this Thursday. The goals of the match for the locals were scored by Luis Acuña (39′ 1T) and Camilo Delgado (30′ 2T, from the penalty spot). While the away goal was scored by Moisés Mejía (42′ 1T).
The figure of the meeting was Camilo Delgado. The Jocoro striker scored 1 goal.
Luis Acuña also played a key role in the Tierra del Fuego Sports Center stadium. Jocoro’s midfielder stood out against Platense by scoring 1 goal.
The match had several warnings: Henry Maldonado, Omar Rosas, Wilber Arizala and Carlos Anzora. Omar Rosas was sent off for a direct red card in the 24th minute of the first half.

For their part, those led by Rubén Da Silva planted themselves with a 4-4-2 strategy with Yimy Cuéllar under the three sticks; Wilber Arizala, Jaime Ortiz, Moisés Mejía and Ronald Padilla in defense; Fabricio Alfaro, Carlos Anzora, Elvin Alvarado and Álvaro Lizama in midfield; and Krisean López and Omar Rosas in front.
The match at the Polideportivo Tierra del Fuego stadium was led by referee Jaime Herrera Bonilla.
For the next date, Jocoro will travel to Atlético Marte. On the other hand, CD Platense will host Chalatenango.
